WCA ECOMMERCE CONFERENCE BREAKS NEW GROUND
Jul 17, 2017

WCA ECOMMERCE CONFERENCE BREAKS NEW GROUND
at its inaugural conference in Miami, Florida

MIAMI FL., July 12 2017 – WCA eCommerce hosted its first ever eCommerce logistics conference in early July, drawing more than 150 logistics providers, service providers and online retailers to discuss the future of freight forwarding and logistics in the digital age.

“We set the bar high for our inaugural conference,” said Dan March, CEO of WCA. “Logistics is shifting; we’ve created a network that not only supports our members who are already working in the sector, but inspires and encourages those who are ready to learn. Our first conference was a catalyst, a think tank to bring all parties together as one unified group.”

The conference, which took place from June 30-July 2 included a full day of workshops presented by guest speakers and logistics leaders. The small-group discussions included topics on how to work with eTailers, challenges of working with Amazon, cross border regulatory issues and much more.

“Education of cross-border, online logistics is key to business growth and success,” said Alex Allen, Director of WCA eCommerce. “Our goal was to provide a forum where attendees could network and share ideas as well as be challenged by the material presented. We believe we did just that.”

The group would like to thank its early adopters and guest speakers for making the first annual conference a great success.

“We are incredibly thankful to speakers like Chris Folayan, CEO of online retail marketplace Mall for Africa, for sharing their expertise with the group,” said Dan March. “Our mission to provide the most innovative and high-quality logistics supply chain solutions in the industry is further solidified by the ongoing support of these industry leaders.”

WCA eCommerce just launched its own artificial intelligence tool to give members exclusive access to duty and export rates. Future developments include cutting edge technology that will further streamline cross-border logistics.
